Christmas at Grandma Kittys

Trying on her new shirt. Thanks Aunt Sally, Uncle Larry, Danielle, and Aaron for her outfit, we were really glad she had it when she wanted a blanket for her baby....makes a great baby blanket. The saying on her shirt is so true...we do revolve around her and her schedule!

She loves shoes!!!!
The giant drink she found around the house and decided was hers.

Trying out her new baby doll bed...she really wanted to lay in in, but it was just too small.

Playing the piano with Uncle Robert...all the new toys and she wants the same old stuff!
We had a wonderful Christmas with family. Evelyn had a great time and is still looking in her stocking for more goodies! She is all ready missing her advent calendar with chocolate, she was so sad when we told her it was all gone! Hope everyone else had a wonderful holiday!

Christmas morning at home

At first Evelyn refused to come into the basement b/c Bullwinkle went back upstairs...we thought that it wasn't going to go so well, but when we got Bullwinkle to come down she came down and really started to get the hang of it. She just played with each toy for a few minutes and then was ready for another.

Christmas Eve at Grandma Seeleys

Christmas Eve was fun and wild. Evelyn was too into what everyone else was doing then into opening up presents, after she opened a doll in a wagon with a dog she was done for the most part

Busy weekend

Friday we were invited to Hunter's school holiday party, so of course we attended and Evelyn had a great time. Picture is of the highlight of the event. For those of you who don't know Hunter is her cousin on my side of the family. He has been battling severe seizure disorder since he was about 2yrs. He has good days and not so great days, but the two of them get along great and really relate. He was very excited to see us and especially Evelyn.

Saturday we headed out to brave the cold weather to watch the "parade" in old St Charles. The chorus Jeff sings with The Ambassadors of Harmony was singing in the parade and doing some caroling. I'm sure I had her overdressed, but I figured just riding she would get cold easier. Except she refused to wear anything on her hands, so her little hands were bright red by the time we were done.

Jeff singing, navy coat black hat. I love to watch the reactions of people walking by or those who are fans of AOH...there are some real die hards (a woman who after going to the 1st night their Christmas show went and bought tickets for the 4 other that weekend). I wish I could have gotten some good pictures of the reactions of the people. It really is neat. I was hoping to post a video, but the sound is hard to hear, so next time.

Evelyn finally next to our little tree.

This is Evelyn's closest in age cousin Joel, they about 3 months apart. We have our newest addition to the Seeley side, Jaden, Tyler, and Joel's little sister. Baby Kate was born Dec 19th . I will post pictures soon! She is adorable! Christmas should be very exciting this year we have 7 5yr and under.

Christmas Train

We had a snow day Monday and Jeff took the day off after his weekend of 5 shows with the chorus. He actually got out his lego train we got him for Christmas last year. I think when I am off school for break we will put it under our tree, but I didn't want to have one more thing to worry about with extra kiddos here. Evelyn thought it was really cool!!! If she breaks it it just gives Jeff another chance to put it together again.

Baking cookies at Grandma Kittys

The joy of baking cookies...licking the beaters. Except she wanted to stick it back in for more when she was done.

Enjoying some music. She loves these headphones.

More pics

This is our crew. A co-worker and I are trading kiddos back and forth this year. This is Sam and Sophia and of course Bullwinkle is never fall behind. The two older were very into a movie and Sophia had just figured out how to crawl up onto the couch.

Bullwinkle celebrated his 4th birthday. Evelyn got a big kick out of singing Happy Birthday to him.

Trying to take some Christmas pictures

This was as close to wearing the santa hat as she was going to get...she is opposed to hats all of sudden these days.

Putting some ornaments on our dinky little tree we found in our garage while moving, so if anyone is missing a tree.

The best picture I could get with her in front of the Christmas tree and only b/c Bullwinkle is laying right next to her.

A visit with Santa

We ventured out to visit Santa, last year we had gone to downtown Macy's and great visit, well due to Jeff's packed full barbershop schedule the next few weekends we wouldn't be able to go make it. So we headed off to Bass Pro shop in St. Charles(Who would have thought). They have a winterwonderland set up with a different craft activity each weekend, can write/mail letters, other games, and of course Santa. It was a nice little set up, was crowded, but not too bad. What she would really like from Santa!!!! Maybe in about 20 or 30 yrs

Well our picture with Santa went about how we expected it to. We made sure she watched a bunch of other children, but when it was her turn she really wasn't about to sit on the strange mans lap. So I got to sit also. Santa was very nice and great with the kids and allowed alot of time, but she doesn't wasn't going to do, maybe next year. We might head back next weekend with her cousins Hailey/Hunter so maybe we will try again.

Happy Thanksgiving Late

Getting in some leaf playing finally before it gets too cold.

All the cousins at Grandma Seeley's house before we ate turkey....man its hard to get all 6 looking at the camera at the same time! We will try again at Christmas, but with 7!!!

She was supposed to be painting a cookie...she discovered it was easier to skip the painting and just eat the icing off the brush.

Hailey and Evelyn were baking their own turkey dinner, while waiting for the real one. We cooked dinner at our house for my side of family on Friday...everything went great except Wed night while peeling potatoes we discovered the sink wasn't draining....so after many hours of snaking and such we finally decided to call a plumber so we ate in style on paper products for Turkey dinner...oh well!

Our balleriana santa!

Thought I should put some new pics up

Evelyn has really gotten into wearing dress up clothes in fact she really wanted to sleep in it. She puts it on and dances, with her daddy if he is home if not she will allow me to dance with her.

She loves walking around in any shoes the bigger the better...she does surprisingly well in them.

Finally something up on our walls

Since we have moved we really haven't put anything up on the walls....we have so much more wall space, it is hard to decide. I had always had picture frame with pictures of OU's campus up in the old house. We decided to make things even. So thanks to my friend Maria selling uppercase living, we got some letters and finally got frames and pictures up.

Halloween

Posing for some pictures in her trick or treat outfit.
Our little butterfly. Some people didn't know what she was. I thought for sure this year everyone would know. Maybe just b/c it was dark.
We went over to Grandma's Kittys since Hailey and Hunter were there to try out trick or treating. We brought the wagon just in case, but of course Evelyn would have nothing to do it with after we started. We made it down the street and back up again, Evelyn walked the whole way and would have gone farther, but Hailey was done.Enjoying some treats!

I guess Hunter didn't want his picture taken. Hunter was the entmologist(someone who studies insects) and the girls were the insects.

Pumpkin carving

She really had a great time playing in the pumpkin and eating it too!

Pictures from the weekend

We had a night at Theis Pumpkin Land...one of the farms near us and the owners are members of our church. It is great, its only families from church and it is no where near as crowded as during the day. They have snacks and hot chocolate and have a big bonfire. We all had a great time. Hunter was even laughing so hard he could barely breath, it was fun to see. We haven't seen him laugh like that in a long time.

We couldn't believe Evelyn actually went in the tunnel.

We finally rode the Steam Train

We finally made it out to Eureka to ride the little steam railroad. We met Jeff's sisters and families and Grandma Seeley.
Uncle Derek, Aunt Jaymn, Joel is down there, Jaden, and Grandma
Aunt Jennifer, Allison, Lucas, Tyler, and Uncle Nathan
This was the beginning of the ride...she really liked it when we were moving
This was near the end of the ride...way past naptime...I'm not sure if they were just extra busy b/c the season is coming to an end or if were just were there at the wrong time, but we had to wait for a long time and then our train has some difficulities along the way. It was great day for it and we will I'm sure do it again next year, just might get there first thing or near the end of the time.
