January Wabash Pool

We finally checked the pool near our house. We went during what I thought was a mom and tot swim, but really it we had to stay in the little splash area. Well there was a ramp on one side and stairs on the other, so we didn't stay very long before she and I were ready to head home for a nap. We will have to go back another day when we can use the rest of the pool.

Transportation Museum

We met some friends at the Transportation Museum. We played in the creation station room for awhile then off to ride the train. We walked around the big trains for a little while, but it was gettting hot and time for lunch so we headed home. That will have to wait for a day in the fall when it's cooler.
This is a big pirate ship they can climb up and in. It had steps, so of course it was her favorite thing. The girl loves steps!!
On the tram waiting for the train.

More Pics

We were taking our boucny seats to our new friend baby Andrew, but she decided she kind of liked this one. I was afraid she would throw a fit when we did take it, but she was fine.
Happy swinging at the park.

Nashville our last destination

We went to Nashville for the International Barbershop competition. Jeff sings with the Ambassodors of Harmony for those who don't know. The day before competition the families/friends mostly wives/children get together and sing a song to the guys as a good luck thing. This year one of the songs was Get me to the Church on Time. So they had the women wear veils while singing and gave the men garters to wear. Evelyn wouldn't keep the veil on for more then 2 seconds. I hope to have a picture of her up singing. About 1/2 through I lifted her up higher so she could see and she smiled real big and started waving like she was in a parade. More then 1/2 the men waved back and thought it was the cutest thing. Needless to say she was the hit of the performance and is well know now!
This is how she took most of her naps. Poor girl!
This picture is from the new headquarters of barbershop. This is actually Jeff's chorus from last summer at International...he just missed being in the picture.
The back of Evelyn's shirt. The front has the AOH logo and says My daddy sings Lead...Jeff part. I am not allowed to post the pic of the two of them from the front since Jeff already had stage make-up on.
In the Barbertot room where we spent most of our time. Playing with her new toy a gift from Grandma Seeley. She has really started to like horses and when she saw this in a store she kissed it on the nose, so of course we had to get it. She knew just what to do with it too. That is the end of our trip. The drive home was the hardest for Evelyn...she was so tired of being confined...we were gone for a total of 10 days. We are all glad to be home and Evelyn was so excited to see Bullwinkle!!!

More from Memphis

We went to see the ducks at the Peabody Hotel. They walk the red carpet twice a day and make a big deal about it. Evelyn couldn't see much b/c it was so crowded...Good thing Jeff has long arms.
We went to Mud Island where they have a replica of the Mississippi River. It was neat and of course Evelyn had a great time. Her legs were all scratched up in the end, but well worth it if you ask her.
I don't know!
She was scared of the part with a fountain, but wanted to do it by herself when she is sumerged in water and a waterfall.
Hamming it up at the hotel.

Onto Memphis

Enjoying the hotel sink. We were enjoying the much nicer hotel room.
We headed to the Memphis Zoo the 1st day. I don't know about you but I've never been this close to Lions before.
This is what Evelyn wanted to do.
There was a barn section, so we stopped for a photo...its a fake cow, but we saw alot of animals up close.
The Pandas were so cute....they don't even look real...it was feeding time.

Blogging on the Road...Oklahoma for a Wedding

We drove to Oklahoma City for my friend Christy's Wedding. This picture is from the rehearsal dinner....she did great!!! Stayed up way past her bedtime.
This was at the reception. We will hopefully have more pictures coming....we didn't get to take too many since I was in the wedding and Jeff was busy chasing little miss around.
